Pastor Brian Colyer
Assistant Pastor
Brian grew up in Riverside, California, where he graduated high school in 1995. Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the Army, where he entered as an Air Defense Artilleryman. After his initial enlistment and return from the war in Iraq, Brian entered the construction field as a carpenter. In 2005 while on the job site one day, his Superintendent invited him to Harvest Fellowship. After the second time attending, Brian responded to an invitation given by Greg Laurie to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. In 2006, Brian was discipled by his close friend Jeff Matuzak at CC Temecula Valley. Soon after, he and Jeff began to evangelize using Ray Comfort’s ‘Way Of The Master’ technique, doing fair and carnival evangelism. In 2007 Brian moved to Temecula, California, and plugged into CCTV as the worship drummer.
He re-enlisted in the Army in 2008, where he went on to serve in the Active and Reserve components. Brian was reassigned to Fort Hood, Texas, where he immediately began to attend Calvary Fellowship of Bell County. Het met Victoria in 2009 at a nearby Christian bookstore where she worked, and they were married by Pastor John Newberry in July of 2012. Brian and Victoria continued to do outreach events at Calvary Fellowship, where they grew in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. Brian was ordained in August of 2019 and now serves as an Assistant Pastor at Calvary Fellowship, overseeing the Sunday Service, Youth Ministry, and Children’s Ministry. Additionally, he serves as Facilities Ministry Leader and Outreach Coordinator. In 2022, he retired from the US Army Reserve, where he served as an Intelligence Analyst and his unit’s Chaplain. Brian and Victoria live in Nolanville, Texas, with their daughter Samantha.
